Allen key to opening up Australia

There’s a pat-phrase in cricket that states that runs are a batsman’s only currency and Finn Allen is evidence of that as he leapfrogged Will Young and Henry Nicholls for the opening spot to tour Australia next month.
It’s an interesting call, perhaps made simpler by the fact that Allen, alongside Daryl Mitchell, top scored across the three one-day internationals in the West Indies, though 96 of his 124 runs came in one innings.
