Also worth noting all those machinations behind the coaching set up and press interviews was done without Mark Robinson after his resignation. It all looked fairly impressive while David Kirk has been at the helm.

Loving seeing cycling getting a mention DC. Keep the Mahi going.

Nice catch up Dylan.

On the cycling, I gave up ages ago giving any of my scant media attention to Armstrong, a total bully who looks to commercialise anything to stay in the news.

Pogacar is a stellar talent and I can only see crashes slowing down his ascent. Merckx was equally far above his contemporaries; being called the Cannibal was an accurate tag. I won't go on about which of the two is the best ever apart from the usual factors of tech, nutrition, science, the formulaic team riding tactics, and money.

It's an unpopular opinion but banning rider radios and having them rely on nous and chalk board times would be a great step away from the current very programmed team riding.

Lastly, in Merckx's TdF debut in '69 at 24, he not only won the GC by over 17 mins, he took out all three jerseys. Pog is not far off being the second ever to achieve this.
