Where do you start?
Not at the start, I’d suggest, but maybe an hour or two after the full-time whistle where, if your WhatsApp and SMS feeds were anything like mine, you would have thought the All Blacks had just lost a test.
They didn’t. For the record, the All Blacks beat Australia 31-28, in the process ensuring that the Wallabies haven’t had their hands on the Bledisloe since Avril Lavigne was the biggest name in pop.
In the first quarter the visitors played rugby to a sublime standard, threatening to post a half century on the woeful Wallabies. As the likes of Cortez Ratima, Wallace Sititi, Caleb Clarke and Tupou Vai’i dominated, the Schmidt really threatened to hit the fan.
