When respect is one-way street

There’s a reason some of us who love rugby sometimes hate covering the sport.

Yesterday a rugby reporter wrote a story about the Highlanders search for a wing in the absence of Solomon Alaimalo, who is taking time out to focus on his mental health. It wasn’t a blockbuster by any means, just straight-up reportage that leant on quotes from coach Tony Brown who was upfront about the situation.

I was sent this by a neutral party, to show what the reporter got for his troubles.
