I got into Baseball by following Ohtani. My sporting highlight of 2023 was the ninth inning of the WBC final between the U.S. and Japan. Two outs, nobody on, Japan clinging to a 3–2 lead and the tournament coming down to an at bat the baseball world had been dreaming of: Shohei Ohtani on the mound, Mike Trout at the plate.
So glad to see Ohtani playing in 2024 for a team built to win.
Watched a bit of baseball growing up but similar it was Ken Burns who really sold me on the American pastime, except it converted me to the Red Sox. Really got into them for the 2013 World Series run which was an absolute thing of beauty (that Big Papi grand slam!).
But basketball trumps it even more and having gone to my first NBA games this year when in LA (both Lakers and Clippers) I’m a full blown addict. In fact my 12 year old just asked if he could sign up for a fantasy league… what have I done!
Who watched the game? How right was I?

How cool was that Ice Cube performance? 🔥
FREDDIE FREDDIE FREDDIE
Was awesome. Jay Z coming out the pen in G3 singing Empire State of Mind be pretty cool response
Dave Roberts might need to channel his inner Ted circa 2011 tonight. Chris Taylor = Stephen Donald? Go Dodgers!
He also might need to channel is inner Chris Warner and fix Ohtani's shoulder :(

That was an epic at bat. Be good to see Trout on a team that can win, too.
Great read, and the best sports header I’ve seen in a long time
Thanks mate. Let's Go LA!
