Loving the golf coverage of the Webex Player Series. Kazuma Kobori is on a month-long heater and leads the TPS Sydney after two rounds. SS6 6pm-9pm. He's great to watch, doesn't hit the ball a million miles which is unusual for a newbie pro, but has a short game and putter that is on fire.
Possibly our best prospect in the game atm in a solid field (the likes of Dan Hiller and the mighty Manaian, Sam Jones)
I think I've mentioned this before, but the most boring thing about Nathan Lyon is not his bowling, it's his nickname, Garry, after Garry Lyon, the VFL/AFL player.
Looking forward to the second test starting tomorrow, even if no one else is. With Oz on the way I reckon it’s an important training run and confidence builder if utilised properly. I’ve just spent the last three days in Sydney bouncing around my old cricket haunts and watching a lot of games and training. The foundations remain incredibly strong here, if anything perhaps stronger than ever. The money involved is an eye opener and last night Oz beat India in the U19 CWC final. NZ scraped a couple of wins against Nepal and Afghanistan and got walloped by other established nations. We’ll need to be on our game when they turn up though there is real concern over here about their top 6.
