"Most of the reasons why I resigned from the Board of CyclingNewZealand in 2018 are in there. Heads buried in the sand to what was happening, overt sexism, favouritism, concealing behaviours, old boys network… and it’s still happening… closing the development centres , promising to consult then a mates appointment to the new development manager… in the middle of the review. Sad sad sad!"
I spent my teenage years in Cambridge and have seen how it has changed in recent years. It is not a diverse place. And it is very, very expensive for what it is. Although the same could be said of a lot of smaller provincial cities and large towns in Waikato, Taranaki and Canterbury.
